NAIROBI, Kenya Mar 25 – ICT and Digital Economy Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo has reinstated Paul Muraguri Mureithi to the Communications Authority of Kenya Board, revoking the appointment of three board members he had appointed in February.
In a Gazette Notice published on Friday, Owalo said he had canceled the appointments of Alex Wafula Wamalwa, Esther Njoki Njoroge, and Mgeni Mboto Hassan.
He subsequently gazetted the names of Albert Kochei and Tonia Mutiso to the Communications Authority of Kenya Board
The new team, according to a gazette notice published on Friday, will serve for a period of three years, effective March 24, 2023.
Owalo had on February 24, 2023, revoked the appointments of Mureithi, Mahmoud Mohamed Noor, Jackson Kiprotich Kemboi, and Laura Chite who were installed by his predecessor Joe Mucheru in the former administration.
In the meantime, Alex Wafula Wamalwa has been appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Industrial Estates, for a period of three years, with effect from the 24th March 2023.
This is after Co-operatives and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Development CS Simon Chelugui revoked the appointment of Alvin Kibet.
Renowned Mombasa-based communication specialist and ICT expert Mgeni Mboto Hassan will now serve as a member of the Board of Directors of Kenyatta International Convention Centre.
Tourism, Wildlife, and Heritage Cabinet Secretary Peninah Malonzo say Hassan’s term expires after a period of three years, with effect from the 24th of March, 2023.
Esther Njoki Njoroge has in the meantime been appointed to be a member of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Leather Development Council,
In a Gazette Notice dated 24th March, 202, Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi says Njoki will serve for a period of three years.
