Mudavadi says Raila lost because Uhuru never mobilised Mt. Kenya votes

NAIROBI, Kenya Mar 25 – Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi now claims that retired President Uhuru Kenyatta never mobilized votes for his preferred successor Raila Odinga in the Mt. Kenya region.

Speaking in Migori Constituency during the thanksgiving ceremony of Uriri MP, Mark Nyamita, Mudavadi said he decided to join forces with President William Ruto when he saw that his political fortunes will sink if he remains in the Azimio La Umoja camp.

“I used to sit with Uhuru in meetings and he used to promise a lot of people many things and then later he would say leave it to me, but that person who was Ruto’s boss (Uhuru) never mobilized anything for Raila in Mt Kenya. He used to do all his mobilization in Nairobi at the State House,” he told Migori residents.

He said he respects the former Prime Minister as his political mentor and urged him to work with President William Ruto’s administration which was focused on resuscitation Kenya’s economy, creating job opportunities, and attracting investors in order to get Kenya’s economic blueprint back on track.

“I personally respect Raila. Both Ruto and I have worked with him, he has been our party leader. We have campaigned and voted for him and even fought for him so that he became Kenya’s second Prime Minister, and even now we want to work with him so that we can build this country,” Mudavadi stated.
