7 teachers who subjected students to indecent act to be detained until Monday

KISII, Kenya, Feb 3 – Seven teachers who were arrested for subjecting children into an Indecent act will continue to be detained at Nyangusu police station for two more days.

Drucella Moraa 48 years, Angelicah Masiah 33 years, Cathrene Mokeira 38 years,Wiliam Isoka 46 years, Gladys Kwamoka 50 years, Evaline Moraa 47 years and Obadiah Nyaribo 33 years were arrested on Wednesday after the video was captured by these teachers subjecting four boys in an Indecent act.

While making a ruling of an application to detain the teachers for 14 days, Ogembo Law Courts Senior Principal Magistrate Paul Bewott said this will give the investigating officer time to conclude the probe.

The investigation officer will be able to record witnesses statements within these two days to enable prosecution get the charges.

“This period the prosecution will have the charges prosecute the suspects in the court,”Said Bewott.

He ordered the suspects to be remanded at Nyangusu police station for the two days.
