Wetangula, Mudavadi in Bungoma to drum up support for Ford-Kenya Senate candidate

NAIROBI, Kenya Dec 3 – Political campaigns for the Bungoma Senate seat has gathered steam with less than five days, before the electorate go to the polls to elect their new senator.

This is after Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi joined Speaker of National Assembly Moses Wetang’ula in drumming support for Ford-Kenya Candidate Wafula Wakoli.

“I will always stand with you my people, the people of Bungoma County. You will never walk alone, I will never let you down. Today, together with other leaders here, we urge you to vote for Mwalimu David Wakoli Wafula on December 8” Mudavadi said during a campaign stop.

The Ford-Kenya Leader has exuded confidence that the ‘Simba Party’ will retain the Bungoma senatorial seat.

“The great people of Bungoma have asked me to show them the best leader for the Senate race and I have shown them none other the able enthusiastic and professional David Wafula Wakoli.”

“This Young Man has walked in my political shadow for a length time and clearly knows the Senator’s roles of oversight, legislation and representation,” Wetang’ula stated.

Wetang’ula kicked off the campaign whirlwind with a rally in the Bungoma town where he received Kelly Walubengo as he defected from the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition.

Kelly contested for the Webuye West Parliamentary seat on a UDM ticket in the August 9 polls. He has petitioned the win of area MP Dan Wanyama, where he claims to have won,

“Kelly is a young focused leader who has chosen the correct path in politics. We welcome here to the Lion’s Party with open arms and tell home to welcome home and be part of the Ford Kenya’s big family. Karibu Kwa Jeshi la Green Commandos,” he started.
