VOI, Kenya, Nov 20 — Three deaths were reported on Saturday after a school bus from Mombasa’s Memon Academy skid off a cliff in Josa area on the Wundanyi-Mwatate road which connects to the Voi-Taveta (A6) Road.
The fatalities were members of staff who had travelled to attend the burial of a colleague staffer.
At least one person was reported to be in critical condition with twenty–five others said to have sustained injuries of varying degree.
Visibility on the winding road to Wundanyi is often hampered by mist with occasional rains making the tarmacked surfaces slippery.
Police in the area were yet to issue an update on the investigations into the crash.
