Agano Party running mate Mucheru faults pollsters for low ranking

NAIROBI, Kenya, Jul 19 – The Agano Party running mate Ruth Mucheru has faulted pollsters for ranking them low in the presidential race.

Speaking during the running mate debate with Roots Party’s Justina Wamae, Mucheru insisted that the Agano party is actually popular.

According to Mucheru, “Research Institutions are sponsored to influence the results,” stating that the polls were not the actual representation of Kenyan opinions.

She stated that the polls were hiding their score to show their limited influence countrywide, in a bid to disadvantage them come August 9th. “The research institutes are refusing to give us even our own mark. In school, even the student who has zero gets their own paper and scorecard.”

She explained that opinion polls by TIFA and Infotrak which have in the past weeks ranked her boss below the one-percent mark were being influenced to understate the Agano presidential candidate’s popularity in the country, insisting that Waihiga had the numbers.

“We have the numbers, Waihiga Mwaure said that some of these research institutes have been sponsored. What they are doing to us as Kenyans is reverse psychology,” she said.

While exuding confidence that her party would be triumphant in the August polls, she added: “They are trying to say that the tyranny of numbers has an upper hand lakini nataka kueleza kuna mabadiliko, na Agano iko site, watu wakate simu.”
