UN, AU, ECOWAS, EU, US, and UK condemn army arrest of Mali leaders

Bamako, Mali, May 25 – Major international bodies such as the United Nations, the European Union and the African Union on Monday condemned the Malian army’s arrest of the president and prime minister of the West African country.

A joint statement signed by UN, AU, ECOWAS, the EU, the US and the UK demanded the “immediate and unconditional liberty” of the politicians.
