Former Capital FM Reporter Nderitu Ndegwa is dead

NAIROBI, Kenya Nov 29 – Former Capital FM journalist Nderitu Ndegwa is dead.

Nderitu, 33, passed on at Nairobi hospital after suffering acute Pneumonia, according to his close friends who spoke to his family members.

Nderitu has previously worked as a News Reporter at Capital FM and One FM.

“We offer our condolences to the family,” said Bernard Momanyi, Capital FM’s Editorial Director, “I remember Nderitu as a very hard working guy who always delivered and was willing to take on new challenges.”

Others who mourned Nderitu are News Editor Simon Ndonga, Capital FM’s Features Editor Wambui Waweru, News Presenter Yunia Amunga among others.

Former Capital FM Lifestyle Editor Susan Wong wrote on Facebook, “One of the first to welcome and embrace me at Capital FM. Words escape me…always so bubbly and generous Nderitu Ndegwa. My condolences to your family and friends.”

His uncle David Muriithi said, “Celebrating the life of our nephew who passed away at Nairobi Hospital from breathing complications. We do not know the ways of the spirit world, but we accept the inevitability of our end.

Several of Nderitu’s friends posted condolences on social media, with Carol Kanana saying “Rest In Peace my dear friend! I am still in shock! But I leave it in God’s hands because he knows best. I was looking forward to seeing you this December but that will not happen so we shall meet in the next lifetime.”
