VOI, Kenya, Oct 15 – A Church bus belonging to the Pentecostal Evangelistic Fellowship of Africa (PEFA) was Tuesday intercepted by police in Voi, Taita Taveta county, for ferrying bhang.
The bus which was said to have been hired from the Church to ferry mourners from Kilifi to Homa Bay county.
The Officer Commanding Police Division in Voi, Bernastein Shali, said the bhang was stashed inside bags containing Lake Victoria sardine, popular fish in the lakeside Nyanza region.
A total of 230 rolls of bhang were impounded, Shali said.
