Mutua, Oparanya ranked top performers in devolution index

NAIROBI, Kenya, Sep 17 – A United Kingdom advisory firm – All Africa Advisors – has ranked Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua as the best performing county executive followed by his Kakamega and Nairobi counterparts Wycliffe Oparanya and Mike Sonko respectively.

In its latest survey conducted between June and August this year, the firm put Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana as the fourth best county chief with Mombasa’s Hassan Joho ranked fifth.

The firm which specializes in commercial and developmental projects in Africa, graded Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu as the worst performing governor. 

It further pointed out that infrastructure development is the topmost priority for most constituents and has the highest impact on satisfaction levels and perception of county government effectiveness.
