NAIROBI, Kenya, Sep 30 – Four suspected thugs were Sunday morning shot dead in a botched robbery incident along Juja Road, Nairobi.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) the suspects had robbed two residents of White Castle along Niarobi’s Juja road, the directorate tweeted on Sunday.
The incident happened at about 4 am.
A victim told police he was waiting for his gate to be opened when the men ordered him to surrender his valuables.
Two pistols, several rounds of ammunition, and four knives were recovered from the suspects.
DCI officers were said to be pursuing two suspects who fled after a shootout ensued between the and police officers.
On receiving the report from the victims, Detectives based in Pangani P/Station launched a Manhunt & caught up with the gang of six, who Disobeyed Orders to surrender and engaged in a gun fight. Two escaped to Kosovo Area but are being pursued.
