NAIROBI, Kenya, May 30 – President Uhuru Kenyatta will Thursday led Members of Parliament and other leaders in a National Prayer Breakfast meeting.

The annual event brings together leaders to reflect and pray for the country.

The theme of this year’s event is “The Dawn of a new Kenya,” and will involve Governors and National Leaders in the Executive and Judiciary.

This year’s prayer breakfast will also be graced by South Sudan President Salva Kiir.

The leaders are set to make key statements touching on various issues, including National Unity and the war against corruption.

Speaking before the event, ACK Reverend Peter Karanja appealed to Kenyans to pray for the country.

“Well, no matter how big this gathering at Safari Park is on this national prayer breakfast, only a small number of Kenyans can be here. Mine to appeal to them to adopt a mode of prayer and take time to pray for Kenya and our leaders,” he stated.
