, NAIROBI, Kenya, May 6 – The trial of Migori Governor Okoth Obado is set to start Tuesday, in which he charged with the killing of Rongo University student Sharon Otieno.

Obado is charged alongside aides Caspal Otieno and Michael Oyamo who have remained in remand prison since their arrest after trial Judge Jessie Lessit denied them bond.

The two are now seeking to have the judge recuse herself from the case while arguing that they are not likely to get justice.

Obado was freed on bond under strict conditions after depositing a cash bail of Sh5 million in December last year.
