MAKUENI, Kenya, May 4 – An Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) pastor will spend 20 years in jail for defiling a class six pupil early this year in Makueni.
According to Kilungu Law Courts Senior Magistrate, Charles Mayamba, the evidence presented before the court proved beyond reasonable doubt that Pastor David Wambua of Kyakatoni ACK church in Kilungu defiled the minor.
The pastor was arrested in the act in January within the church premises.
Last year, Mayamba sentenced another man to 80 years in jail for defiling his stepdaughter in the same county.
Cases of rape and defilement in Makueni are on the raise with high cases of early pregnancy also being reported.
