DCI officers rescue two Burundians said to be victims of human trafficking

, NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb, 23 – Officers attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations yesterday rescued two Burundi nationals suspected to be victims of human trafficking.

The two women were rescued yesterday as they prepared to depart the country to the Middle East.

An investigation has since been launched to establish persons behind the human trafficking web that lured the two women.

The police arrested a taxi driver ferrying the two to help in investigations.
