Chief Justice transfers Court of Appeal judges

, NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 12 – Chief Justice David Maraga Monday evening announced the transfer of judges of the Court of Appeal in Nairobi, Malindi, Kisumu and Nyeri.

The transfers which take effect from April 8 saw Justices Erastus Githinji, Hannah Okwengu and Jamila Mohammed moved from Kisumu to Nairobi.

Judges Wanjiru Karanja and Martha Koome were also moved to Nairobi from Malindi.

Justices Fatuma Sichale and Sankale ole Kantai have been transferred from Nyeri to Nairobi.

Judges Roselyn Nambuye and Daniel Musinga have been moved to Nyeri from Nairobi.

The transfers were routine as the Court of Appeal rules say a judge will be moved after staying at a station for two years.
