I’ll have my say in 2022 politics, says Uhuru

“Don’t think I’m a fool by keeping silent on issues of politics; I will give my voice come 2022,” Kenyatta said/PSCU

NYERI, Kenya, Nov 1 – President Uhuru Kenyatta has slammed leaders who are traversing the country drumming up for support of certain leaders, saying that they must work for the citizens before thinking that they have huge support.

Speaking in Nyeri Town after meeting Mt Kenya leaders, President Uhuru Kenyatta said that some politicians think that he is a fool by keeping quiet on succession politics and although he will not vie for presidency, he will have a voice in 2022 politics.

“Don’t think I’m a fool by keeping silent on issues of politics; I will give my voice come 2022,” Kenyatta said in Kikuyu while addressing the public.

At the same time, he lashed out at leaders who are not working for their people, saying each and every leader will be elected based on delivery.

He stated that he has met with leaders from the region but also warned them against putting their agenda of greed first and forgetting the needs and priorities of Kenyans.

He said that they had a lengthy discussion with the leaders on issues affecting the region and they will be addressed soon.
