, NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 12 – Five Kenya Certificate of Secondary School Candidates have been deregistered over irregularities in the ongoing KCSE exams.

According to Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed, this follows a crackdown targeting people impersonating candidates.

The Kenya National Examinations Council Chairman George Magoha urged centre managers to be on high alert for such individuals.

Speaking while opening an examinations container in Kisii, he said that everything will be done to ensure anyone who engages in irregularities is dealt with firmly.

There have been reports of malpractices at some areas in the past week with authorities making efforts to contain the menace.
