NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 31 – President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday morning made a surprise visit to Uhuru Gardens Primary School and delivered a word of encouragement to KCPE candidates who are sitting for their examinations.

During the visit, the Head of State urged all students to do their best and promised each of them that they will be admitted to Secondary schools.

He further cautioned them not to engage in any form of cheating as this would impact negatively on their future.

“You do not have to feel that you are under pressure to do anything that is wrong. Just do the best that you can, and my promise is as long as you do that, every one of you will find a place in Secondary school,” he stated.

Wednesday was the second day of the exams where the students were to sit for their Science, Kiswahili Lugha and Kiswahili Insha papers.

“Trust in your God and do your best. That is what we are here to encourage you to encourage you to do, so that you can be senior citizens in this republic,” he said.

“Men and women of integrity and men and women who know that a challenge or an event does not change life. It is just something that must be overcome as you move on in the process of life.”

The class 8 students sat for the Mathematics, English and Composition papers on Tuesday, in the exam that is scheduled to end tomorrow.
