NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 28 – Migori Woman Representative Pamela Odhiambo was on Sunday morning involved in a road accident along the Kisii-Migori road next to Rongo.
Odhiambo’s bodyguard, Fred Owich, died shortly after the accident as Odhiambo was rushed to Aga Khan hospital in Kisumu.
Nyanza regional Traffic Police Boss Andrew Naibei confirmed the incident saying police investigations are underway to establish the cause of the accident.
Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has condoled with the Family of Odhiambo’s bodyguard.
“We have received disturbing news about Migori Women Representative Hon Pamela Odhiambo being involved in a grisly road accident this morning. I wish the MP quick recovery,” Odinga said.
Doctors at Aga Khan Hospital in Kisumu have confirmed that Migori Woman Rep MP Pamela Odhiambo broke her left leg and has pain in the back.
She is currently in the process of being airlifted to Nairobi for specialised treatment.
Meanwhile out of the two of the occupants in the vehicle has been treated and discharged but is still in critical condition and will remain at Aga Khan Hospital Kisumu.
