NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 17 – The High Court has warned the media against reporting what is yet to be argued in court about in murder trial of TV journalist Jacque Maribe and her fiancé Joseph Irungu alias Jowie.

Justice James Wakiaga who is set to hear the case stated that he wants to approach the matter without being influenced by the media.

“The court is adding one rider to the media. From now that this file is before me, those statements that you keep on making about what you have done, what you have not done, the money which has not been collected and recovered, for now, you should stop writing them,” he stated.

Justice Wakiaga made the remarks when the matter came for bail hearing.

Maribe and Jowie are seeking to be released on bail pending trial for the murder of Monica Kimani on September 19 at Lamuria Garden apartment in Kilimani Nairobi.

The two have since denied committing the offence.
