Journalist Moses Dola found guilty of manslaughter

, NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 5 – Freelance journalist Moses Otieno Dola has been found guilty of manslaughter after killing his wife Wambui Kabiru.

This is after Justice Roselyn Korir substituted the charge of murder to that of manslaughter.

The court found that Dola unlawfully caused the death of his wife although he did not intend to kill her at their home at Umoja 2 Estate.

Kabiru was found dead in 2011 and the couple had a son who was two years old at that time.

The journalist has been detained pending sentencing after the court cancelled his bail.
