MAKUENI, Kenya, Oct 3 – Police in Makueni have arrested a 24-year-old man for raping his 77-year-old grandmother at Utangwa Village, Mbooni.

The granny who was taken to the Makueni Level 4 Hospital has been transferred to the Nairobi Women’s hospital for further treatment.
Cases of rape in Makueni County are said to have risen in the past few months according to Makueni Deputy Governor Andelina Mwau.
