NAIROBI, Kenya, Sep 26 – Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior was on Wednesday rushed to a hospital in Eldoret after he choked while having lunch.
He was said to be in stable condition after his fellow legislators conducted first aid on him.
The incident came as Senators held their first plenary session in Uasin Gishu in an initiative seeking to enhance public relationship.
During the sitting, the legislators went through the House business as well as interacted with locals and obtain first-hand reports on how effective or ineffective devolution is.
The week-long sittings are also expected to foster stronger partnerships between Governors and Senators, who have always been locked in supremacy wars since the inception of the new constitution.
