NAIROBI, Kenya, Jul 23 – Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi is on Monday set to meet senior police officers over looming changes in the security agency.

The meeting at the Kenya School of Government brings together regional and County security chiefs and will be attended by Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet, Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti and other formational commanders.

Insiders stated that the meeting is aimed at diffusing tension over looming changes that will largely affect the Administration Police.

There has been anxiety among the rank and file in the service over the changes sanctioned by President Uhuru Kenyatta, which will affect individual ranks.
