, NAIROBI, Kenya, Jul 19 – The official driver of Transport Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Chris Obure was Wednesday night shot dead in Kariobangi area, Nairobi.

According to Buruburu Police boss, Geoffrey Mayek, “the driver had dropped the CAS at his Nairobi residence and drove to his house at Civil Servants’ estate in Kariobangi at 9.45 pm where the shooting happened.”

He explained that the driver was driving an official government vehicle and had parked it when a gang of two struck as he walked out.

“The driver had resisted when the two men who were on motorcycles accosted him. It seems that he resisted, and he was shot twice in the chest,” he stated.

He pointed out that the thugs shot him at close range before escaping on foot and without stealing anything from him.
