Police arrest suspect in connection with Mandera quarry attack

Adan Samow was arrested in El Wak and the authorities say they are still on the hunt for his suspected accomplices/CFM

NAIROBI, Kenya, May 13 – Police on Saturday arrested a suspect in connection with a terror attack on a quarry in Mandera on May 3.

Adan Mohammed Samow was arrested in El Wak with authorities stating that “the hunt” for his accomplices was ongoing.

Samow is suspected of taking part in the attack during which four persons not native to the area were targeted and killed.

Quarries in Mandera have proven soft targets for the Al Shabaab but the financial incentives of working there have proven hard to resist.
