, NAIROBI, Kenya, Apr 5 – The Chief Magistrates court in Milimani will on Thursday decide whether to give police more time to probe a suspected gang leader involved in several burglaries in Muthaiga, Lavington and Kileleshwa.
Kilimani police boss Joseph Muthee told Capital FM News that they need more time to investigate Lavender Akinyi, who has been involved in several break-ins over a long period of time.
Muthee stated that Akinyi was arrested alongside three other men after police raided her house in Ruaka, Nairobi.
He also urged victims to record statements over the various incidences they may have experienced at the hands of the gang.
Police said the gang of five has been terrorising residents for the last three years.
