Several people left homeless in Kibera fire incident

According to police, the fire is said to have started from one of the affected structures before it spread fast to others/FILE

NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 3 – Several people were on Wednesday morning left homeless in a fire incident in Kibera slums, Nairobi.

According to police, the fire is said to have started from one of the affected structures before it spread fast to others.

A number of tenants were injured as they fought off the fire before a fire engine arrived there to help in the process.

Police said they are investigating the cause of the incident and those affected have appealed for help to reconstruct the structures.
