Party meets to strategise around Mutua’s 2022 presidential bid

MACHAKOS, Kenya, Jan 12 – The Maendeleo Chap Chap party will on Saturday hold a meeting of all its elected and nominated leaders to review the last election and strategise on the 2022 polls.

Party leader Dr. Alfred Mutua who is also the Machakos governor said the meeting will be held at the party headquarters in Lavington, Nairobi.

”We shall take stock of the last elections and strategise for 2022 to win the presidency,” said Mutua.

The Machakos governor who is serving his last term as the county boss has already declared his bid for the presidency come 2022.

His party won the Mwala, Baringo Central, Lamu East parliamentary seats and the Tana River Woman Representative seat.

Chap Chap has over 50 elected MCA’s countrywide.

Mutua said MCCP was the first party to call its leadership after the August elections and will use the forum to take a party position on current national issues.

”We will also draw a work plan to roll out party activities and plans to traverse the country to popularise my presidential bid,” said Mutua.
