NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 5 – A police officer based in Kongoni Police Station, Naivasha has been arrested after he allegedly shot dead his girlfriend on Thursday night.
According to a police report seen by Capital FM News, the constable has admitted that he was involved in a scuffle with his 31-year-old girlfriend some minutes to 11pm.
It is at that time, the officer says he fired at the girlfriend several times, killing her instantly.
The officer was disarmed immediately and his AK-47 rifle preserved as an exhibit within the station’s armoury, ahead of his arraignment in court.
The deceased body was found with gunshot injuries on the stomach and her thighs.
The incident happened within the police housing estate.
