DP Ruto mourns outrider killed in crash

, NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 14 – Deputy President William Ruto has mourned the death of Constable Casmel Ndege, a police outrider who died on Saturday after he was involved in a road accident.

Constable Ndege lost control of his motorbike on Wangari Maathai Road in Nairobi leading to a tragic crash.

He was at the time of the crash part of DP Ruto’s motorcade heading for a burial ceremony in Githunguri, Kiambu County.

Ruto described Constable Ndege as a gallant, hardworking and dedicated professional.

“Deepest condolences to the family and friends of Constable Casmel Ndege who has passed on in the line of duty,” the DP tweeted on Saturday.

“We celebrate him for his selfless service to this country. May his Soul Rest in Peace,” he added.
