NAIROBI, Kenya, Dec 14 – Minority Leader John Mbadi was on Thursday ejected from a special sitting of the National Assembly after he refused to comply with House Speaker order to withdraw a remark he made stating that “there is no president in the country.”
Mbadi was contributing to a precedural motion tabled by the House Majority Leader Aden Duale seeking the MPs approval to refer names of Cabinet and Principal Secretaries directly to respective House Committees without convening a special sitting to communicate receipt of the nomination from the President.
“Honourable John Mbadi you must withdraw the remark that there is no president,” Speaker Muturi demanded before showing him the door when he refused.
