NAIROBI, Kenya, Dec 20 – A land dealer is expected in court on Wednesday following his arrest after he allegedly threatened to kill a Chinese businessman over a Sh4.7 million debt in the city centre.
According to police, the man is also accused of demanding the money through extortion.
The Chinese who is involved in real estate reported the matter to the Central Police Station before the suspect was tracked and arrested.
The two had been involved in a land transaction in which the Chinese stated he paid all the money.
Police say such cases of demanding money by menaces are on the rise.
