Kitui West MP Francis Nyenze is dead

The Member of Parliament had an oxygen tank in tow when he took his took his oath of office/FILE

NAIROBI, Kenya Dec 6 – Kitui West Member of Parliament Francis Nyenze is dead.

Nyenze has been ailing for some time and was even sworn in while carrying an oxygen tank in the National Assembly.

A section of Members of Parliament and family members are currently at the Lee Funeral Home where his body has been moved from the Nairobi Hospital.

Family and close friends say he was suffering from cancer of the colon.

Nyenze has previously served as Cabinet Minister in the KANU regime and was most recently served as Minority Leader in the National Assembly.
