Homes razed in Kawangware 46 fire

, NAIROBI, Kenya, Dec 6 – Several people were on Tuesday left homeless after a fire razed structures in Kawangware area, Nairobi.

The structures are located in Kawangware 46 area and police say they are yet to know the cause.

They say the fire started from one of the affected houses before spreading fast to others.

The fire was contained almost an hour after it broke out and police say they are investigating the incident.

No life was lost but many were left homeless.

Poor response from the department has been an issue in the city amid calls to improve the situation and those affected in the incident have appealed for help to reconstruct the structures.
