, NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 1- Police are investigating circumstances under which the husband of former Nairobi Woman Representative Rachael Shebesh allegedly shot himself on Tuesday night.

Frank Ambundo Shebesh, who is a licensed firearm holder, is currently hospitalized with injuries on the leg and has told police that he shot himself while at his house on Nairobi’s Dennis Pritt area of Kilimani.

But a senior police officer has confided in Capital FM News that they have launched an investigation over the matter to corroborate what he told them.

“We want to establish whether it is possible for one to shoot himself twice, at what angle among other possibilities,” the officer said.

Ballistic experts are already analyzing a pistol taken away from the businessman as part of the investigation, having visited his house which was also dusted for evidence.

Capital FM has not managed to speak to the victim or his vocal wife who was instrumental in Jubilee campaigns for President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election.

He had a Glock pistol with 12 bullets during the incident.

A bullet that lodged in his leg is being removed at a Nairobi hospital.
