Nairobi County Executive Committee nominees approval due Wednesday

, NAIROBI,Kenya,Nov 7-Members of the Nairobi County Assembly are set to debate and approve or reject the nominations of all the new County Executives Committee members by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko.

The 10 CEC nominees were vetted by the Committee on Appointments, headed by County Assembly Speaker Beatrice Elachi.

The House Select team submitted their report to the House on Tuesday and recommended their approval.

In their report tabled before the Assembly , the Committee said they found the nominees are suitable and qualified for their respective dockets.

Among the nominees include the Media Council Chairman Charles Kerich for ICT and E-Government, Larry Wambua for Devolution,Danvas Makori to head Agriculture and Livestock,Peter Njuguna for Lands and Housing ,Janet Ouko –Education.

Mohammed Dagane-Roads and Infrastructure,Hitan Majevdia-Health Services,Emmah Muthoni-Environment and Natural Resources,Allan Esabwa-Commerce and Tourism and Veska Jepkemboi for Finance and Planning.

The nominees were vetted last month and their approval is due Wednesday.
