MACHAKOS, Kenya, Nov 8 – Machakos County Assembly has rejected five CEC nominees presented by Governor Alfred Mutua for adoption.
Faith Wathome was nominated for Education, Youth, Sports and Social Welfare but scored a paltry 23.5 per cent.
Ruth Mutua who was nominated for Agriculture, Livestock and Co-operative scored 30.3 per cent.
Dr Ali Nohamud was nominated for Health and Emergency services, he scored 53 per cent.
Naomi Mutie Kamala was nominated for Water, Irrigation and Environment and Sanitation, she got 38 per cent; she told the interview panel that Thabo Mbeki is the sitting South African President.
While Kimeu mbithi kimeu who was nominated to head the county Ministry of Public Service, Labour, Quality Assurance and ICT scored 32.3 per cent.
The pass mark was 70 per cent.
