, NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 28 – Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni says Kenyans should focus more on nation building rather than concentrating all their efforts on politics.
Speaking during the second inauguration ceremony of President Uhuru Kenyatta Tuesday, Museveni encouraged Kenyans to also focus on peace, family and development.
The Ugandan Head of State also commended Kenyans for maintaining peace in what he considered a successful electioneering period.
“I beseech all Kenyans to consider three things. The first is peace. Secondly, the prosperity of the family unit and development. The fourth is peace, but do not concentrate too much on politics and forget the other three,” he said.
“On behalf of all the people of Uganda, congratulations for the election and for maintaining peace.”
Museveni was in attendance among several other Heads of State who graced the occasion.
The foreign leaders attending the fete included Ian Khama (Botswana), Ali Bongo (Gabon), Mohamed Farmajo (Somalia), Salva Kiir (South Sudan), Edgar Lungu (Zambia), Paul Kagame (Rwanda), Ismael Guelleh (Djibouti) and PM Hailemariam Desalegn (Ethiopia).
