NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 14 – President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto will on Saturday embark on a gruelling campaign drive that will see them traverse 17 counties as the October 26 repeat presidential poll comes into view.

They will begin with campaign rallies President Kenyatta’s home bases of Murang’a and Kiambu before heading to Garissa, Mwingi and Machakos on Monday.

On Tuesday they will make their way through Samburu, Nanyuki and Nakuru before heading to Migori, Kisii and Kericho on Wednesday.

On Thursday the President will visit the Trans Nzoia, Vihiga and Nandi counties to sell his agenda.

“This is about taking my policies to the people of Kenya, and allowing them to reconfirm their confidence in me. They already showed this trust and confidence in August when we believe they voted overwhelmingly for us,” he said at the starting blocks.

On Friday, President Kenyatta will make his way back to the state capital Nairobi to attend the Mashujaa Day celebrations at the Uhuru Park grounds before hosting a luncheon at the State House gardens.

Next Saturday he will campaign in Narok and Kajiado counties before turning his attention back to Nairobi on Monday. But not before attending a National prayer event on Sunday, October 22.
