Star editor Kerich nominated as Nairobi County ICT Executive

, NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 5 – Veteran journalist Charles Kerich is among 10 individuals nominated as executives of the Nairobi County Government.

Kerich is the editor-in-chief at the Star Newspaper and also serves as Chairperson of Media Council of Kenya.

If approved by the County Assembly, he will serve the Minister in charge of ICT and E-Government.

Also in the list by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko is Larry Wambua who has been nominated for the position of County Executive in charge of Devolution, Public Service, and Administration.

Others nominated to the County Executive Committee are Veska Jepkemboi (Finance and Economic Planning), Peter Wachira (Lands, Urban Renewal and Housing), Dr Hitan Majevda (Health Services), Allan Esabwa (Commerce, Tourism and Cooperatives), Emmah Muthoni (Environment, Water, Energy and Natural Resources).

The other CEC nominees are Danvas Makori (Agriculture, Livestock Development, Fisheries and Forestry), Janet Ouko (Education, Youth Gender, Sports, Culture and Social Services) and Saleh Mohammed (Road, Infrastructure and Transport).
