President Kenyatta commiserates with victims of Lokichogio attack

, NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 14 – President Uhuru Kenyatta has commiserated with the victims of an early morning attack on a mixed secondary school in Lokichogio, Turkana.

President Kenyatta has gone on to demand of the police, the perpetrators of the attack be brought to justice.

“Deeply saddened by the death of young innocent lives lost at Lokichogio Secondary school in Turkana County. My thoughts and prayers are with their families at this time of sorrow and grief. I also pray for a quick recovery of those injured,” it was communicated on his Twitter account.

The Kenya Red Cross is on scene and is coordinating air evacuation of the casualties to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, in Eldoret.

The motive of the attack remains unclear with reports from the ground indicating that it was cross-border in nature or the machinations of a disgruntled student.
