NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 2 – The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) on Monday met various diplomats at the Bomas of Kenya on Monday.

The meeting comes ahead of the repeat Presidential poll set for October 26.

And it comes after a meeting between the electoral body and presidential poll contenders Jubilee and the National Super Alliance representatives collapsed last week.

The IEBC however assured that the fresh presidential election scheduled for October 26 will proceed on schedule.

Chairperson Wafula Chebukati urged the two presidential candidates to consider attending consultative forums convened by IEBC instead of sending proxies.
