NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 26 – Opposition leaders led by John Mbadi and his counterpart Simba Arati led tens of supporters to the Nairobi Central Business District, in defiance at Interior CS Fred Matiangi’s protest ban.

The leaders attempted to outwit the police who were nowhere to be seen, only for them to be surrounded by tens of anti-riot police officers within a split second, who dispersed them using teargas.

The leaders managed to get to Harambee Avenue before they were dispersed.

They have vowed to hold daily protests against the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, in a move to agitate for electoral changes.
