
A display of ivory ready for destruction/FILE
NAIROBI, Kenya, Sep 19 – Three people among them a serving and a retired Administration Police officer have been detained at Langata Police station after they were found in possession of ivory.
The third person according to police is a taxi driver who was used to ferry the wildlife trophy.
They were arrested in Nairobi West area by officers from the Kenya Wildlife Service, who were acting on a tip-off from members of the public.
Detectives have told Capital News that more suspects believed to be part of a network are being pursued.
