Exam Council to verify authenticity of KCSE papers found on candidate’s phone

, MAKUENI, Kenya, Sep 19 – Police are currently seeking to establish if Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education exam papers found on a candidate’s phone in Makueni, are genuine.

The police, who have sought verification from the Kenya National Examinations Council, were alerted to the student by the school principal.

The student of Kitondo Secondary School was found to possess all the exam papers on Whatsapp.

Police Commandant Mbooni East Peter Njeru says the student has been transferred to KNEC headquarters at Mitihani house for interrogation.

Meanwhile, police in Makindu sub-county are investigating a case in which a school bus belonging to Makindu boys was set on fire.

Police say the bus was torched around 11pm on Monday.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.

This is according to Makindu police boss Henrieta Wanyama.
