DNA identification of 9 killed in Moi Girls School fire underway

The families of all nine bereaved families were accorded an opportunity to view the bodies for the purpose of identification/HILARY MWENDA

, NAIROBI, Kenya, Sep 5 – Collection of DNA samples from parents of the 8 students of Moi Girls High school is underway at Chiromo mortuary.

Deputy Director NMDU Pius Masai says the DNA samples will be extracted from biological parents and their siblings.

After that, a team of experts lead by Government pathologist Johansen Odour will carry out a postmortem exercise to match the details.

The exercise is set to be carried out in 2 weeks.
