, NAIROBI, Kenya, Sep 27 – Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has been arrested shortly after the court released him on a Sh500,000 cash bail and two sureties of Sh1 million each in a subversion case.
According to police, the MP is being held over pending complaints.
This could be his third night in custody after the youthful MP was arrested, for making derogatory remarks against President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The remarks were followed by protests in Kiambu County and sections of other Jubilee strongholds.
His counterparts in Parliament have condemned the MP remarks and asked him to offer an apology to Kenyans and the first family.
