, NAIROBI, Kenya Aug 4 – National Super Alliance (NASA) supporters have been asked by their leaders to cast their votes on August 8 and return home to await the outcome.

The NASA principals had taken their final homestretch campaigns to the Western region and Kisumu on Thursday where they urged their supporters to turn out in large numbers on the Election Day to vote and return home to mobilise people to come and vote.

“Everyone should go home after voting because they are expecting us to stay there and cause commotion,” said NASA presidential running mate Kalonzo Musyoka.

Moses Wetangula also spoke during the rally and called for a large turn out on Election Day saying he is confident that NASA will clinch the highest office in the country after having traversed all parts of the country in a vote hunting mission.

“Vote and stay far from the polling station. Our agents will do the work go and await the outcome at home,” said Wetangula.

NASA had mobilised youths countrywide in their ‘adopt a polling station’ strategy which was aimed at ensuring that their votes are intact.

This was objected to by the Acting Cabinet Secretary for Interior Security Fred Matiangi who had warned Kenyans to vote and await results from their homes to avoid chaos.

The August 8 elections have attracted observers from different countries who have come to oversee the elections and ensure that they are peaceful and credible.
The Commonwealth Election Observers Group to Kenya which is led by the former Ghanaian president John Mahama who spoke on Thursday in a press conference in Nairobi assured Kenyans of their total support in ensuring credibility in the polls.

With barely four days for Kenyans to cast their ballots, IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati has assured the country that everything is in place to ensure that the process is smooth.
